Urine specimen adulteration is the attempt to add some substances in a urine sample or some special products intake with the purpose to pass drug test. The use of pass drug test products can cause false negative results in urine drug screening tests by either interfering with the drug test and/or demolishing the illegal drugs present in the urine specimen sample. Urine dilution may also be engaged in an effort to cheating with drug test results.

The easiest way to beat such adulteration attempts is to test urine sample for adulteration or dilution. Adulteration urine test is very helpful to determine changes in urine such as unusual levels of creatinine, pH, and specific gravity and to detect the presence of glutaraldehyde, nitrite and oxidants /pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC).
